[Monday Message] Creating or Smashing Limitations

Limitations are a funny thing. You are the co-creator of your reality, of your life, of your Universe – did you know that?

As such, you are capable of limiting yourself in innumerable ways. Examples:

  • On a purely practical level, when you believe you have limitations, you limit yourself, because you are operating on that perceived truth. Every time you say “I can’t,” you set up a self fulfilling prophecy.
  • On an emotional/mental level, allowing yourself to feel limited send a message to the Universe. The sensations in our body come from our chemical reactions, which are generated by stimuli, internal or external. Those chemical reactions are how aspects of the Universe communicate with us, and we with them. So the thought that you are limited creates a chemical reaction, which signals to the Universe that you are limited, and the Universe makes sure it is so.
  • As co-creator of your reality, you are also capable of granting yourself every opportunity in the world. Simply by allowing yourself to be excited about the potential of the day, you call in opportunity. Simply by holding an image of your success, you call in the circumstances necessary for that success. Simply by being grateful for all of the abundance in your life, you call in more abundance.

Let your affirmation for today be: “I open myself to receive all of the gifts of the Universe, which come to me freely and easily, without struggle.”

This post is part of a series called Monday Message, based on that day’s reflection from 365 Days to Enlightenment (authorized versions are currently out of print, working on a new edition). Check back next Monday for another one! You can also sign up for the Daily Message on my mailing list if you’d like to receive a new reflection every day. I also often post them to Instagram, if that’s a medium you enjoy.
