Sunspot news just in from SpaceWeather:
A probable sunspot has appeared in the sun’s northern hemisphere–we just can’t see it yet. NASA’s STEREO-A spacecraft is monitoring the active region on the farside of the sun, right here. Based on its high latitude, it is a likely member of new Solar Cycle 25. The sun’s rotation will turn the spot toward Earth ~3 days from now.
As you can see from the picture attached to this post, we haven’t had any sunspots for a while. When that happens, I’ve observed a trend of people having lower energy and a lack of motivation. So the return of solar activity may bring with it a jump in our own energy, which would be welcomed. I keep hearing from people how tired they are. Mind you, I’m sleeping like a baby (once I get to sleep) for once, so I’m hoping that part isn’t due to solar (in)activity.
Other effects of little-to-no solar activity are:
So in a few days, when the sunspot faces earth, we may see ourselves getting a little less extreme. Or we could get more extreme. Either way, you should ask yourself:
What soothes you?
What helps you to disconnect?
What reminds you to breathe, to practice self-care, to simplify?
Do those things.
Twice.
It’ll all be okay. It may not go according to (your) plan, but it will all be okay. Trust. Breathe. Soak in hot water. Huff a kitten. Blow some bubbles.
All of this just in time for all the energies of June, which I talk about in my upcoming newsletter – if you aren’t on the mailing list, you still have a few days to sign up!
