Joy and Change: Moving Into the New Paradigm

It’s the last month of 2019! A few more holidays to get through and then we move into 2020, the year of (numerologically) Four! We are mid-paradigm shift, and this is the year the hard work really starts. We all feel like we’ve been working hard already, possibly even struggling, so it’s important to make sure to recharge your batteries. You can’t be of service to others if you don’t put your own oxygen mask on first.

So start by asking yourself what feeds you? What brings you joy? What makes your heart sing? What brings you a sense of ease and comfort? Make a commitment to have some of that in your life every day. It’s important.

The second consideration is what you can do to contribute to change. You don’t have to be on the front lines. Maybe you spread information and foster awareness. Maybe you don’t even pay attention to current events but you provide emotional, moral, or physical support to those that do. Maybe you are on the front lines in a magickal capacity. Maybe you make sure the voices of the less-privileged are heard. There are so many ways to help further the paradigm shift. What is your role? Action is important.

It is also important to contribute by visioning the new paradigm. Visioning is a misnomer, honestly, because how can you see something in your mind’s eye that you’ve never experienced? What do you want the new paradigm to feel like? When we move into a new reality, will you feel supported, loved, a part of a larger community? Will there be a stronger sense of honor, dignity, and community? And what will that actually feel like in your body? Don’t just label it, generate the sensations of it. Do it daily, for at least 5 minutes.
