[Monday Message] Peaceful Prosperity

A few truths about prosperity: Money is merely a representation of an exchange of energy. Anything else you have attached to the idea of money you have attached to money. To be fair, someone probably handed you that idea, but it’s not true. Money is nothing more than a representation of an exchange of energy. Energy follows focus. Energy has a flow to it. Energy is energy and cannot really be separate, so the energy you hold affects the energy around you.

To be in prosperity is to flourish or thrive. It is innately tied to the idea of peace. If you are at war, you are not thriving.

If you want to be prosperous, aim for peace. Aim for peace in your community and in your home. Maybe even aim for peace within yourself.

Strife, battle, conflict, resistance – these things block the flow of your energy. If you block your energy, you are not thriving, and you have blocked your abundance and prosperity.

What is a spiritual act? We generally see a spiritual act as something generous, giving, selfless. It fosters the exchange of energy, it encourages flow, rather than seeking to hold on to things.

A mark of your progress along your path to enlightenment is how much prosperity there is around you. It has to be constantly in motion though. We don’t get to grasp at it or try to squirrel it away. We are at peace, we are not in a place of lack. Chew on this for a moment. Let yourself grasp the enormity of this. Notice where your head comes up with arguments, and examine if those are arguments of lack or of peace.

Look at the people who don’t seem to be spiritual, who have wealth. Are they happy? Do they act prosperous, or do they come from a place of lack? If they are hoarding, they are in a space of lack, I promise you.

Do not think that the Universe wants you to be poor. You are truly in your flow when you have enough to support you and to allow you to support those causes which further you along your path. You are in your flow when you seek to create win-win situations wherever possible. If it’s not possible, examine why that is.

Whenever there is a hiccup in your abundance, there is almost certainly resistance in your life.

This post is part of a series called Monday Message, based on that day’s reflection from 365 Days to Enlightenment (authorized versions are currently out of print, working on a new edition). Check back next Monday for another one! You can also sign up for the Daily Message on my mailing list if you’d like to receive a new reflection every day. I also often post them to Instagram, if that’s a medium you enjoy.
