How often do you ignore your intuition in favor of your intellect?
Does this form of self-doubt ever serve you well?
The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you and you don’t know how or why.
– Albert Einstein
When you trust the Universe and trust yourself to know the answer, regardless of how inexplicable that is, all information is available to you. But you have to get out of your own way.
The next time your inner voice gives you a prompt, no matter how strange it may seem, as long as it’s not going to cause injury to yourself or others, try listening to it. Occasionally, you may appear foolish, but where’s the harm in that? It just makes you seem more human and likable to those around you. However, you will also find that, the more you exercise the muscle of your intuition by listening to it, the more frequently it will feed you the information that you truly need.
This post is part of a series called Monday Message, based on that day’s reflection from 365 Days to Enlightenment (authorized versions are currently out of print, working on a new edition). Check back next Monday for another one! You can also sign up for the Daily Message on my mailing list if you’d like to receive a new reflection every day. I also often post them to Instagram, if that’s a medium you enjoy.
