Sunday night’s (or, really, Monday morning’s) Full Moon will be the closest the moon has been to the Earth since January 26th, 1948. in preparing for the Full Moon Women’s Circle I curate, I decided to do a little research. 

On that date, the order to desegregate the US Armed Forces was signed.

Also on that date, Eleanor Roosevelt wrote a very interesting newspaper column, discussing authoritarianism, Russia, and lack of communication.

Considering the strongly polarized divide in the US right now, crystallized by the presidential election, and some of the topics this has brought to the forefront, I find these things fascinating. My shorthand description for Shamanism is “the art of seeing the patterns between things.” And I’m seeing a pattern.
