This moon cycle has been one of refocusing my path and my career, as well as refining my approach. As is typical for this psychopomp, action in arena B brings results in arena A, but such is the way of things.
I pulled a card tonight, during my Full Moon meditation. As an aside, it was my first time using the Major Arcana deck gifted to me – they’ve been marinating under my pillow since I received them on the 27th. The card that came up was Judgment. I’m doing some heavy lifting this week with Hermes, the Dark Man at the Crossroads, and Heimdallr, so the card was unsurprising.
Let me back up a little and tell you about Judgment. This is the point, on the Fool’s journey, where he transcends the model. The has walked through his trials and come out the other side. He can now make decisions about what to keep and what to let go of. He has discovered his Purpose.
What jumped out at me as a more personal message, however, was that the Hebrew letter associated with Judgment is Shin. Shin, to me, is the Spark or Fire of God. It is kundalini, it is the Dragon, and it is, in Gnosticism, the Trinity. It speaks to the Great Mystery, the active forces of life, and the dynamic movement of fire.
And I happen to be leading a psychopompic journey/ritual tomorrow (Friday) night with a colleague, in which the backing track takes one of the key names of the Abrahamic God and brings that energy into flesh by the addition on Shin.
Message received, Spirit, message received.
See you on the other side!
