The 40 Day Practice: Day 13: Unbridled Joy

We embark on the thirteenth day of a 40 Day Practice, based on the energy of the Labyrinth (releasing – contemplation – receiving). If you have a local labyrinth, I invite you to walk the labyrinth with today’s theme as your focus. If you don’t have a local labyrinth, you can create your own, take a walk somewhere peaceful, or even sit in contemplation in your own home. I will be scheduling various public labyrinth appearances, and you are welcome to join me when and where you can, if you feel moved to do so.

Today’s theme is Unbridled Joy. We are most joyful when we are able to be fully present and in the moment, regardless of what is going on. And who doesn’t want more joy in their lives?

Questions that might help you see what you can release: What am I holding on to from my past? What am I focusing on in the future? What about being HERE NOW am I afraid of?

Suggestions for Contemplation: What are you doing? How are you holding your body? What do you see around you? What do you smell? What do you hear? What do you taste? Are you warm or cold? How is the quality of the light? What are you feeling? Is that feeling based on what is going on now, or is it something that has passed? Is there something miraculous going on that you need (or want) to be aware of?

Perhaps your mantra for receiving today could be “I open myself fully to the joy of being in the moment.
