If you’ve been feeling stuck, the energy has shifted. Any lack of motion in your life is coming from your own internal dialogue and belief systems. This is not to say that it is your fault, rather, I say this to empower you to make real changes in your life.
Start by identifying the beliefs and ideas you are carrying around with you that describe a world you don’t want to live in. Does your head tell you there isn’t enough? Do you believe you have to work hard for every dollar you earn? Are you convinced that you can’t make a living doing what you love? Do you have a program running that says “nothing I ever do works out?”Is there never enough time in the day to get everything done?
What if it could be different?
What if the world could be filled with abundance, fun, creative, joyous, relaxed, and fulfilling? Wouldn’t you rather live in that world?
The formula for getting there is simple; not necessarily easy, because you’re battling old information and the noise in your own head, but it is simple, I promise you.
It helps to understand the creative force of the Universe, that energy that powers pretty much everything. Pure creation is one that has the impulse of “What happens if I do this?” Nothing more. It is playful, experimental, engaged. That energy is magic. That energy is what you are supposed to be using in everything that you do. If you are working for living, or worse yet, working at your art, you’re doing it wrong. This is not to say that you don’t need discipline or to expend effort, but if you’re viewing what you do as work, you’ve forgotten the energy of the Divine. Bring back the energy of play into your daily life. Play at your creative endeavors. Play at your relationships. Play with ideas and concepts. Play with time. And, by all means, play at what you do for a living.
Play is empowered. Work is victimizing. Either dynamic is your choice.
There are other steps, other tips, other tools you can play with in changing your world. Start here. Start with the idea of play.
