Allowing For Shift

A lot of people are having a really hard time right now. Everything feels heightened, urgent. The number of people I encounter or hear from who are profoundly depressed is on the rise. It seems like more relationships are ending. Death is a big theme. The economists are starting to mutter about hyperinflation. All around us, paradigms are trying to shift, and it’s making people deeply uncomfortable.

Let me ask you: has what you’ve been doing been working? If not, why do you keep doing it?

Let’s look at two issues that seem to be getting turned on their respective ear – money and relationships.

What are the values that you bring to a relationship? What do you think you have to offer? What do you want the other person to offer? Why do you want to be in a relationship, really? Are you being honest with yourself? Have you dealt with the lessons of previous relationships? Have you healed those wounds?

What has your relationship been to money in the past? How is it now? How do you feel about money? How do you feel about people who have it? Who don’t have it? What attachments do you have to the idea of money, what design money mean to you? Why do you want (or not want) it? Are you being honest with yourself?

From Spirit’s point of view, relationships are about challenging ourselves to grow, and money is merely a physical manifestation or indicator of and exchange of energy. Any other ideas you have attached to relationships or money ad just that -YOUR attachments. Things that keep you in ego, things that hold you back.

Can we challenge ourselves to grow in other ways? Sure. Relationships just get us there faster.

Can we demonstrate an exchange of energy differently? Of course! In fact, we don’t have to symbolize it at all, the exchange of energy could be enough if we would let it.

Start thinking about your fundamental ideas, your premises about how the Universe works. How much of that is based ln experience, and how much of it is based on what people have told you?

What are you ready to change, to let go of, to try something new? I’m not even asking you to know how that is supposed to look, I’m just asking if you have the willingness to separate the old or useless from the Truth of What Is.

Play with that idea today. Mull it over. Chew on it. Do some contemplation, or even some writing. See what happens.
