Greetings and Salutations!

I am about to leave on retreat, as I do every year, so the newsletter is a little early.

September is always the most intense month of the year, and will highlight for you whatever theme you have been working on this year. There will be ample opportunity to heal old wounds, break patterns, and resolve new lessons. This is true on a personal level, a community level, a national level, and even a global level. Celebrate those occasions as they arise, understanding that September is the month when you can, essentially, graduate from whatever you have been working on and step into something new.

In watching the trends on a national scale, it it likely that there will be even more polarization, as well as the chance to heal rifts and find compassion for those who are, in some way, different from ourselves. Whatever your own personal journey through 2012 has been about, this is quite possibly a major piece of the puzzle. You might take this idea into contemplation and see what your own guidance has to say on the matter.

Come the middle of the month, we will be at the autumnal equinox, which affords us the possibility of achieving or regaining balance and harmony. By making this a personal goal, you are likely to find resolution to the challenges that have presented themselves.

New Moon in Leo is Here and September Cometh

Leo is a magnificent sign. New Moon in Leo gives us the opportunity to reclaim our creativity, to get back into the present, to be passionate and joyful about our lives, and to put ourselves fully in alignment with our purpose. This is the perfect reset button, because we are moving quickly into September, which is, numerologically speaking, the most intense month of the year. Whatever your personal theme has been this year, whatever you’ve been working on and through, will reach its crescendo next month. So take the time now to stop and catch your breath. Find your joy, your passion, because you really ought to recharge your batteries.

Ask yourself every morning for the next 14 days: “What makes my heart sing?”

The answer can change from day to day, that’s fine. But use that day’s answer as your metric for prioritizing your to do list for that day. If something doesn’t in some way bring you closer to what makes your heart sing, it’s not important. Another way of looking at it is this: if you have something you really need to get done, figure out how it brings you closer to what makes your heart sing.

You may also wish to examine what your theme has been for the year, so you are prepared for September. What have been the patterns? When you look back at 2012, what were the broad brush strokes about? What have your lessons and challenges been this year? Do your best to unravel them, so they can be resolved in September, and you can finish out the year tying up your loose ends and start 2012 with a fresh slate.

A channeled message

At the end of Psychic Protection class tonight, all this information started flowing out of me, after I’d turned off the recording, of course. I rushed home to try to capture some of it, to share it with a wider audience. This is what came out when I got home.

With all of the astrological events going on right now, this is an important time. If you have been doing any of the work, if you are trying to be conscious and raise your vibration, if you have been taking classes, this is the time you have been training for. This is the time when we get to be the people we’ve been waiting for, as it were.

When opportunities present themselves for you to learn new tools, to raise your vibration, to sit with a teacher, to receive a healing, please take it. Those of us who have been struggling to become conscious have a responsibility to help those who aren’t as far along. This is not intended to sound arrogant, it is intended to sound urgent or even imperative.

Obviously, you have to take care of yourself before you can be of service to anyone else, so do that. Do what you need in order to own your space, to be empowered, to be grounded and present. But then you have a responsibility to hold that space for others as well, to lead the way, to hold the light. People who haven’t been doing the work are losing their minds and it’s only going to get worse. So you need to be even more grounded, even more in alignment with your higher purpose, or it’s going to get uncomfortable for you as well.

Every astrological shift we have, take some time to really assimilate it, to tune into the new energies, and to feel where the changes are.

  • Yesterday we had an eclipse and a new moon, and Venus, which was already in retrograde, moved into Gemini.
  • On June 4th, we have a lunar eclipse.
  • 6:6 is an energetically important date, when we are at a midpoint of some shifting.
  • June 24th (which I originally typed as 244th, for you numerologists) kicks off a 7 year cycle of change with a series of Mars-Neptune exact squares.
  • We will have another solar eclipse in November.

Every astrological event, every quarter moon, every shooting star, every solar flare – they are all going to affect us that much more strongly now.

Drink a lot of water, preferably mixed with a little clear fruit juice. Eat as healthy as possible, and make sure your diet has a high protein ratio. Get enough rest. Meditate on a daily basis, even if it’s just for 10 minutes a day. Hold yourself to a higher standard. Avoid drama and unnecessary conflict. Own your actions, and keep your side of the street clean. And ground ground ground ground! You really need to be here now, or you may find yourself completely adrift, lost, and without direction.

You are made of stars. Connect with that energy. Feel out into the night sky. Connect with the energy of the sun and the moon and the stars. Listen for the songs of nature and of the spheres. Write, paint, sculpt, dance, sing – be creative! We are really in the time of the Elohim, of the gods and goddesses becoming, so the more creative energy we connect with the better. It will only serve to ease our passage.

Be true to yourself. If you don’t know what your truth is, now is the time to find out. How does your heart ask you to be out in the world? What feels the most natural to you? What sorts of relationships, partnerships, friendships resonate with you? Where is your truth? How do you honor your true nature? What makes your heart sing? Are you doing that on a daily basis? What defines healthy and self-nurturing action for you?

Now is the time to be the people we’ve been waiting for.
Now is the time to be the children of the Sun.
Now is the time to become the gods and goddesses.
Now is the time to be the light of the world.

January 2012 Newsletter

Message for the New Year:

2012, for all of the hype about the Mayan calendar, is nothing more than the beginning of a new cycle. Nature does things gradually, so we’ve been feeling the build up for quite some time; the change is not instantaneous.

Numerologically, it will be a “5” year. 5 is the number of change and of freedom. It is a turning point, the peak of the bell curve. It is also the number of mankind. One of its symbols is the pentagram, the five pointed star, which is representative of man reaching for the Divine.

Astrologically, we are seeing patterns in the planets that haven’t been seen since the late 1960s, which were a time of great social upheaval all over the planet. Most of the dictators that fell this year were installed during that time. The cycle will peak over the summer, and we will all be asked to stand in our Truth, whether we really want to or not.

Uranus is in Aries, which is about unexpected events. At the same time, Pluto, which governs global events and money, is in Capricorn, which is about government, rules, and structure. The combination of these two planets’ placement suggests a global change in paradigm.

Jupiter will spend the first half of the year in Taurus, suggesting a struggle to stabilize our financial system. Then it moves into Gemini, and brings our focus to community and communication.

Saturn will be in Libra until October, asking us to restructure our relationships; and then moves into Scorpio, asking us to restructure our finances, both personally and globally.

Neptune moves into Pisces in February, where it will remain until 2025, asking us to focus on health, environment, oceans, and community.

It might be a lot to take in, but all that you really need to remember is that this is a year of big change. Meet it with honor and willingness.

Have You Had Your Check-up?

People get readings for any number of reasons. People who get readings to get an absolute prediction of the future, or who are looking for someone to co-sign their BS, or who want to be able to abdicate responsibility for their lives don’t like my readings much. My focus is on your path, your choices, and your responsibility. We talk about tools. You get homework. I’m all about helping you get through your challenges and helping you make wise choices, not letting you be a slacker.

I have a number of clients who get an annual reading, whether it’s based on the change in year or their birthday, or some other anniversary that is meaningful to them. It’s a great way for them to make sure their focus in on track, and to see if there’s anything that might be coming down the pike they should be aware of (or can even make choices and avoid, if it’s not something they want to experience). Sure, some people will do a check-up reading every 3 months or 6 months, but I really enjoy the annual ones, because it allows for so much more growth.

Some people come and get their annual readings in person. Some people will get them over the phone. For those who like to have something in writing they can refer back to, I have three different types on online readings, where you get a multi-page report emailed to you (I recommend the Tree of Life reading for annual reports), or the Personality Report and Annual Forecast, which is based on a combination of numerology, astrology, and channeled information.

People will take their car in periodically for minor work and to make sure nothing major is wrong. They’ll get an annual check up for their physical health, their eyesight, or their teeth. It makes sense to have a periodic maintenance check on your spiritual health as well. Catching things while they’re easily reversible is much better than having to conduct major repairs down the road.

September’s New Moon

Tonight, we will be gathering, as we do almost every New Moon, to clear the way and set our intentions for the coming cycle.  Having done a bunch of writing for tonight, I thought I would share some of the information here.

September is always an intense month. Numerologically, it is the apex of whatever the themes of the year have been. It generally has at least the tail end of a Mercury retrograde. And it kicks off the astrological sun sign(Libra (balance, relationships) .

This New Moon is no exception.  In August, I wrote about a global chapter shift that was happening, and about the planet shifting, and at the end of July, I mentioned an impending astrological configuration that was setting up an energy we hadn’t seen since the late 1960s. This month’s New Moon adds to that. The planets are all pointing toward revolutionary action, rebalancing, and social consciousness or global awakening, a time when people are no longer willing to put up with unjustice and make a stand.

Love is an energy, not an emotion. Some people say that love is a verb. It is a state of being, and it is the energy that exists in all things. Love is a form of magnetism, it is the stuff of creation. Love allows for balance, for stillness, for peace. Love is what we are being called to at this very moment.

The challenge is that the easiest way to get ourselves to seek out something is to invoke or create the conditions necessary for its opposite to exist. So we find ourselves at war, with each other, with our neighbors, with political systems, with the economy, within ourselves. Participating in those struggles, those conflicts, is not always the most strengthening thing to do. This is not to say that we shouldn’t speak out or act out against injustice, but if we want peace in our lives, we must first seek it out within ourselves.

So, instead of getting amped up for battle, slow down. Breathe. Bring your attention in to the center of your chest. Breathe. Gather yourself into the very center of your heart center. Find your center, find your still point. Relax. Do not struggle. What is it you want in this moment? Can you raise your vibration, can you give that thing that you most want to your opponent?

Take a moment to write out all of the things that make you happy, all of the people you care about, all of the things you are grateful for.

Now go find those people you care about, and tell them what they mean to you.

Practice giveaway, by helping others.

Seek out your own stillness, rather than the next fight.

This is the way to weather what might look like the storm, to make it to the other side.

The Significance of Today’s Date

I’m back from my retreat! I’ll try to post about that later, but I wanted to get something out about today’s date. A lot of people are talking about Sunday, it being the tenth anniversary of 9/11. But today is also important.

Not just because it’s 9/9/11, although that has something to do with it. 9 is the number of completion, the end of a cycle, the tying up of loose ends. So you have a completion day in a completion month. Some people add to that “in an “11″ year!” but that’s not entirely accurate, because it’s 2011, not just 11.

In traditional Western numerology, most numbers get reduced down to a single digit (ie: 9+9+2+0+1+1=4), and September is the 9th month. When you add any number to 9 and then reduce it down it is always going to be that number. So the theme of a year is concentrated in September.

Universally, this is a “4″ year (2+0+1+1=4). Four is about hard work, putting in the effort,doing the footwork and paying your dues. Each individual has there own them to the year, found by taking the day and month of their birth and adding it to the universal year (if you were born on October 15th, it would be 1+0+1+5+4=11 or 2, we don’t always reduce master numbers, i.e.: numbers divisible by 11).

Regardless of what your theme for this year is, and you probably don’t have to know numerology to know what this year has been about for you, September is going to be intensified. The dates that reduce to 9 are going to be even more intensified – the 9th, the 18th, and the 27th. So today is your first opportunity of the month to really be present to the theme of your year and to work with the issues that have been confronting you. Nature likes cycles, so you get two more times this month, two more layers of the onion, in which to create resolution. I say “resolution” because September is a “9″ month, and is intensified because it is the opportunity for you to resolve the theme of your year.
